Listen-only mode uses your microphone alone. There is no tab or screen sharing.
When to use it
- You are on a phone: phone browsers cannot share a tab.
- Your browser cannot share sound from your call.
- You prefer not to share anything from your computer.
How it works
Your device hears the interviewer through your computer’s speakers, and hears you directly. Put the phone beside the computer, with the speakers on and the volume high enough that the phone can hear the interviewer clearly.
Tips
- Use a quiet room. Background noise makes answers worse.
- Do not use headphones for the call sound, or the phone will not hear the interviewer.
- Allow the microphone when asked. See Set up your microphone.
