An AI interview copilot is software that listens to your interview and helps you answer. PrepHint AI is an AI interview copilot: when the interviewer asks a question, you press Answer and a full answer is written on your screen from your own resume and the job description, ready to read aloud.
Use it where AI help is allowed. PrepHint AI is made for practice and for conversations where help from AI is allowed. Check the rules of the employer and the interviewer before you use it in a real interview. If the answer is no, use it to practise.
How an AI interview copilot works
- Add your material. Upload your resume once. Add the job description and any notes you want it to use.
- Join your call. Open your call in a Chrome or Edge tab and share that tab, with its sound, with PrepHint AI. In the Windows app there is no tab to share: it hears the sound of your PC and your microphone.
- Press Answer. When a question is asked, press Answer. A full answer is written from your own material. It does not answer by itself.
- Read it aloud. You choose the length and tone beforehand: short, balanced or detailed, in a conversational, simple or professional tone. If you prefer, choose short hints instead of a full answer.
The live answers page has the detail, and how PrepHint AI works shows the whole path from first upload to transcript.
Your resume and the job description
Because each answer is built from your own resume, the job description and your notes, it talks about your experience and not a stranger’s. If you have no resume yet, the free Resume Maker builds one and tailors it to a job.
Behavioural and technical questions
For questions like “Tell me about a time you led a project”, switch on the STAR method and answers are shaped as situation, task, action and result. For technical questions about your work, put the tools, projects and results you want mentioned in your notes and the job description, and the answer is written from them. Read the interview question guides to see typical questions before you practise.
Practise first with mock interviews
Practise before the real call. A mock interview is a voice conversation with an AI interviewer, built from your resume and the job post. It runs for 5 to 30 minutes. It gives no score, and the transcript is saved so you can read your answers back.
The Windows app and stealth mode
The PrepHint AI app for Windows 10 and 11 is included in every plan. It has stealth mode: in the desktop app, the PrepHint AI window is left out of screen sharing and recording in most apps. It is on for every call. Outside a call, switch on Private in the app’s menu. It is for Windows 10 (version 2004 and later) and Windows 11. The result depends on the program that captures the screen, and older Windows can show a black box instead. It is not in the browser or on Mac. See the desktop app page.
Use it where AI help is allowed. PrepHint AI is made for practice and for conversations where help from AI is allowed. Check the rules of the employer and the interviewer before you use it in a real interview. If the answer is no, use it to practise.
