PrepHint AI is an AI interview assistant that works with Google Meet. When the interviewer asks a question on your call, you press Answer and a full answer is written on your screen from your own resume, the job description and your notes, ready for you to read aloud.
Use it where AI help is allowed. PrepHint AI is made for practice and for conversations where help from AI is allowed. Check the rules of the employer and the interviewer before you use it in a real interview. If the answer is no, use it to practise.
How to use PrepHint AI with Google Meet
- Add your material. Upload your resume once and paste the job description. Add any notes you want the answers to use.
- Open Meet in a browser tab. Join your interview in Google Meet in Chrome or Edge on a computer.
- Share the tab with sound. Start a live session in PrepHint AI and choose the Meet tab in your browser’s box. Tick Share tab audio (the words differ a little between browsers) so PrepHint AI can hear the interviewer.
- Press Answer. When a question is asked, press Answer. You choose the length and tone of the answer beforehand.
A call in a browser tab always works this way. Check that you chose a tab and not a window, because a window often carries no sound, and that the tab is not muted. The help article on sharing the sound of your call lists what to check.
Other ways to join
- The Windows app. The PrepHint AI app for Windows 10 and 11 hears the sound of your PC and your microphone, so there is no browser tab to share. Press Ctrl and Enter, or choose Answer, and the answer appears in a small window over your call. It is included in every plan. See the desktop app page.
- Listen-only mode. If you cannot share a tab, listen-only mode uses your microphone alone. See listen-only mode.
Safari and phone browsers cannot share a tab’s sound, and Firefox is not supported yet. The supported browsers table has the details.
Practise first with a mock interview
Before the day, run a mock interview by voice. The AI interviewer asks questions built from your resume and the job description, and you answer out loud. Mock interviews run for 5 to 30 minutes, and you can read the transcript afterwards. A mock interview gives no score.
What it costs
